ROUTE 4 TRANSFER POLICY CHANGES & 4B DETOURS IN DOWNTOWN ANN ARBOR AREA
Effective Monday, January 30th, 2012
Transfer Policy Changes
Due to the high frequency of service on route 4 now offered Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., buses on route 4 will not be held to make transfers with other routes.
Route 4 buses can be held to make transfers when service runs less frequently: Monday – Friday after 6:00 p.m. and anytime on Saturday and Sunday.
4B Detours
Due to construction on Fifth Av, ‘To Ann Arbor’ and ‘to Ypsilanti’ 4B buses will not be able to use routing on Fletcher St and Washington St as printed in the RideGuide.
4B to Ann Arbor
‘To Ann Arbor’ 4B buses will use the following routing starting at the Central Campus Transit Center: west on N University Av – [L] south on State St – [R] west on William St to Blake Transit Center
‘To Ann Arbor’ Buses will serve the following stops while on detour:
N University Av at Thayer St (Hill Auditorium)
William St, west of Thompson St
4B to Ypsilanti
‘To Ypsilanti’ 4B buses will use the following routing starting at the Blake Transit Center: north on Fourth Av – [R] east on Washington St – [R] south on Thayer St – [L] east on N University Av to Central Campus Transit Center
‘To Ypsilanti’ Buses will serve the following stops while on detour:
Washington St, east of Fifth Av (waiting shelter in front of Comerica Bank)
Washington St, east of Division St (Liberty Square parking structure)
N University Av, east of Thayer St (waiting shelter at Ingalls Mall)
