A-Ride is a shared-ride transportation service for individuals who are prevented from using AATA fixed-route bus service due to a disability. You must have an AATA ADA Eligibility Card to use A-Ride services. Call 734.973.6500 to request an ADA Eligibility Application or fill out the online request or print the online application. Professional certification of a disability is required as part of the application process.

A-Ride transportation is provided by either taxi cabs, small buses or in lift-vans. The fare for an advance reservation trip (reserved at least one day in advance of the trip) costs only $3.00. A Same-Day trip (trip scheduled on the same day of the service) is only $4.00. You must show your AATA ADA Eligibility Card to use A-Ride transportation services. Fixed-Route Bus Service Using an ADA Eligibility Card
Individuals with an AATA ADA Eligibility Card can ride AATA fixed-route service for free. All of the AATA buses are low-floor vehicles. You do not have to climb steps to board AATA buses. There is a ramp for wheelchair access. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), AATA vehicles announce all time point locations along each route. All AATA buses are equipped with ramps and kneelers. Your driver will assist you in using these boarding aids.

NightRide
Individuals with an AATA ADA Eligibility Card can take a late-night, shared-ride taxi trip within the city limits of Ann Arbor for a reduced fare. The fare for a Night Ride trip for individuals with an AATA ADA Eligibility Card is only $2.50. You must show your ADA Eligibility Card to be eligible for this reduced fare.

Holiday Ride
Individuals with an AATA ADA Eligibility Card can take a shared-ride taxi trip within the city limits of Ann Arbor for a reduced fare on major holidays when AATA fixed-route service does not operate. The fare for a Holiday Ride trip for individuals with an AATA ADA Eligibility Card is only $2.50. You must show your ADA Eligibility Card to be eligible for this reduced fare.
